Hello to all AFOL! The author is quite late in giving an update about the newest set from LEGO® House. This exclusive set that can only be bought from the LEGO® House is set 40502 which is the Brick Moulding Machine. This set can be bought starting on 4 March 2021.
Set ini merupakan bagian dari set eksklusif yang hanya dapat dibeli di LEGO® House yang merupakan pusat dari pengalaman LEGO® yang menyenangkan. Set-set eksklusif sebelumnya adalah set-set arsitektural berupa LEGO House Architecture, LEGO House Tree of Creativity, dan LEGO House Dinosaurs. Kali ini perusahaan LEGO® hendak memperkenalkan set ikonik yang terkait dengan sejarah perusahaan LEGO® Seperti Wooden Duck dan kali ini berupa Brick Moulding Machine.
This set is part of the exclusive sets that can only be bought in LEGO® House which is a pinnacle of LEGO® Experience. The previous exclusive sets are the architectural sets such as the LEGO House Architecture set, the LEGO House Tree of Creativity, and the LEGO House Dinosaurs. This time the LEGO Group is introducing the iconic sets that are related to the LEGO Group’s history which was started by the Wooden Duck and this time The Brick Moulding Machine.
Mesin cetak komponen LEGO® ini mewakili masa di mana perusahaan LEGO mulai merubah usahanya dari menjual mainan kayu menjadi mainan plastik. Mesin pertama tiba di Billund pada tahun 1947 dan membutuhkan 4 orang untuk mengoperasikannya secara efisien. Mesin hijau ini dapat ditemukan pada pabrik LEGO® di Denmark, Hongaria, Meksiko dan RRT. Perbedaannya adalah, mesin yang diwakili set ini merupakan mesin kustomisasi yang hanya dapat memproduksi 6 komponen LEGO® sekali jalan sedangkan mesin standar saat ini dapat memproduksi banyak komponen LEGO®.
The Brick Moulding Machine is representing an era in the history of the LEGO Group going from producing toys in wood into plastic. The first machine arrived in Billund in 1947 and it took up to four people to manually operate one single machine efficiently. The green machine is identical to the moulding machines found at the LEGO® production sites in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, and China. The difference, however, is that it has a special custom-made mould designed to only contain six bricks. Standard moulds produce many more bricks.

Mesin cetak pertama dibeli pada tahun 1946 ketika Ole Kirk Kristiansen menghadiri demonstrasi mesin cetakan injeksi plastik pada pameran di Copenhagen.
Pada tahun 1949, departemen plastik perusahaan LEGO memproduksi berbagai jenis mainan. Salah satu dari mainan tersebut adalah komponen LEGO® yang dijual dengan nama “Balok Susun Otomatis".

Pada tahun 1960, generasi kedua dari pemilik, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen memutuskan untuk berfokus dengan hanya memproduksi dan menjual balok LEGO®.
Alat cetak injeksi plastik asli dapat ditemukan di LEGO® House untuk para pengunjung mengamatinya dari jarak dekat. Mesin ini sama persis terdapat di tempat produksi LEGO® lainnya hanya alat ini dikustomisasi untuk hanya dapat memproduksi enam balok LEGO sekali produksi dan beroperasi dengan kecepatan yang lebih pelan.
Pada tahun 60an dan 70an, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen memulai menon-aktifkan cetakan-cetakan yang tidak digunakan lagi untuk dicor di dalam fondasi pabrik-pabrik baru di Billund untuk mencegah cetakan-cetakan tersebut jatuh ke tangan orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab.

The first moulding machine is bought in 1946 after Ole Kirk Kristiansen attended a demonstration of a plastic injection moulding machine at a fair in Copenhagen.
In 1949 the LEGO Group’s plastics department manufactures various kinds of toys. Among these are the company’s first plastic bricks, which are marketed under the name “Automatic Binding Bricks”.
On 28 January 1958 at 1:58 pm, the modern LEGO® brick is born when a patent for the unique clutch power is secured.
In 1960 the second-generation owner, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen decided to put all eggs in one basket and purely focus on the LEGO® brick.
A real-life moulding machine can be found in LEGO House where guests can see it up close. It is identical to the ones in other LEGO® production sites but is custom made to only produce six bricks at the time and run at a slower pace.
In the 60s and 70s, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen initiated decommissioned moulds to be cast into the concrete foundations of new factories in Billund to prevent them from falling into wrong hands.
In the History Collection in LEGO® House, you can also find reconstructions of decommissioned moulds hiding in the floor for visitors to see.

The Brick Moulding Machine represents an era in the LEGO Group going from producing wooden toys into plastic toys.
The main model feature is a sliding injection mould as well as three sliding window access panels and hinged maintenance access doors.
The 1,205-piece model measurements are the following: 7.4” (19 cm) tall, 5.9” (15 cm) deep and 11.4” (29 cm) wide.
Base comprises printed tiles with the words ‘LEGO® House' and ‘The Brick Moulding Machine’.
